Participant and Caregiver Experience

Metricis provides two coordinated delivery surfaces: a participant/caregiver portal for the broader research journey and a focused assessment client for jsPsych tasks and native mobile delivery.

Participant portal

The portal supports passwordless magic-link access, onboarding, consent and re-consent, scheduled work, questionnaires, diaries, progress, and linked study/registry context. It is designed to show the person what needs attention without discarding which research context owns each item.

Caregiver-assisted work records the acting account and participant relationship so completion provenance remains explicit. English and French content, accessibility patterns, large touch targets, and responsive layouts support a wider range of participants.

Assessment client

The assessment client runs version-pinned jsPsych 8 task batteries on the web and in Capacitor 8 iOS/Android shells. It records session and task provenance needed to interpret results and separates source events from derived scores.

Offline behavior

Supported workflows can save progress or queue submissions while connectivity is unavailable, then reconcile idempotently when a connection returns. Offline support is workflow-specific: teams should confirm the exact form, diary, or assessment path they intend to deploy rather than assume every screen has identical offline behavior.

Participant rights and safety

Consent purpose is checked when protected work is requested. Re-consent and withdrawal can change what is delivered or processed. Research feedback and longitudinal trends must be framed according to their validated intended use; Metricis does not turn research measures into diagnostic advice.
